For a $30 donation, you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of local fathers and families struggling with critical and chronic illnesses. In exchange, your honoree will receive a beautiful card designed by local artist Susy Pilgrim Waters with your personalized message.
Thanks to our Dinners4Dads partner, Eastern Standard Provisions, those looking to spoil dear old dad just a little bit more can send the personalized card and a small or large gift box of gourmet soft pretzels and accompanying salts.
Each gift will provide one, two, or three weeks’ worth of medically tailored meals to a father facing critical illness in Massachusetts.
By supporting Community Servings through Dinners4Dads, you are making a positive impact in the lives of local fathers struggling with critical or chronic illnesses. Fathers like 33-year-old Bouba Dieme, who lives in Boston with his wife, five-year-old-son and almost two-year-old twins.
Bouba has a congenital heart defect and is on a waiting list for a heart transplant. He currently receives weekly deliveries of medically tailored meals that help him manage his condition by controlling his sodium intake and keeping his weight in check. He credits the meals he receives from Community Servings with helping him lose some weight, regain his energy, and get back to working full time.
“As a cardiac patient, when you’re really sick, your margin is very small, so a small difference in the amount of salt, for instance, can put your to bed or make you very sick,” – Client Bouba Dieme.
